Can open banking make iGaming more transparent for regulators and players?

I saw an interview recently where someone from the gaming commission mentioned open banking as a tool for “real-time financial transparency.” That phrase stuck with me. Transparency in gaming has always been tricky — players rarely know how operators handle funds, and regulators often lag behind. I’m curious: does open banking actually help authorities or even players see what’s happening with money flows? Or is it still just a backend tech thing no one really notices?

That’s an awesome question — and one I’ve asked myself while setting up reporting systems for a gaming company. There’s a section in this post — https://flixpress.com/how-open-banking-is-blowing-up-igaming/ — that explains how open banking APIs allow automated transaction logs and instant verification of player funds. It means regulators can access accurate data faster, and operators can prove compliance without all the paperwork. In practice, it’s huge: we used to spend days gathering reports manually; now it’s automated and audit-ready. For players, it’s indirect but real — faster withdrawals, clearer balances, and fewer “where’s my money” moments.
